Bavarian-Czech Networking Event: EU Calls 2026/2027 on Green Materials and Production for Batteries
Advancing European Battery Technologies
The European Union is making targeted investments in next-generation battery technologies to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and strategic autonomy. Funding priorities include:
• advanced and sustainable battery materials,
• innovative cell and battery pack concepts,
• efficient and scalable battery production processes,
• applications in mobility, energy and industry.
Several EU funding programmes address these topics in parallel. This event provides a comprehensive overview of battery-related EU calls in 2026/2027, combined with detailed, programme-specific insights and great networking opportunities.
EU Battery Calls 2026/2027: Early Information and Partnering Opportunities
The objective of this international networking event is to connect Bavarian and Czech stakeholders from industry and academia to initiate joint EU project proposals in the field of battery technologies.
Participants will benefit from:
• early, call-specific information directly from National Contact Points, and
• targeted opportunities to identify international project partners for concrete project ideas.
What to expect?
- Overview of battery-related EU calls 2026/2027
Experts from NCP DIT Jülich and NCP at the Technology Centre Prague will present relevant EU battery calls – concise, structured and practice-oriented. - Bavarian-Czech expert networking
Meet companies, universities and research institutions from both countries working on complementary battery topics or offering solutions to advance your project. - Matchmaking and consortium building
The event offers an efficient platform to form consortia, clarify roles and define next steps, with a clear focus on proposal submissions in 2026/2027. - Pitch Talks: Present your project idea
Participants with concrete project ideas can present them in short Pitch Talks:
Who are you? What is your project idea? Which EU call are you addressing? Which partners are you looking for?
Pitch Talks – How to participate?
Participants with a concrete project idea are invited to present it in a short pitch talk. The pitch talks are intended to specifically address project ideas related to the Battery Calls 2026/2027. Please indicate your interest in giving a pitch talk during registration and submit your presentation by Wednesday, 18 February 2026, to battery@no-spam-pleasebayfor.org.
The number of pitch slots (maximum 2 minutes per pitch) is limited. Selection will be based on the quality of the presentation and the project idea.
A mandatory PowerPoint template is available for download. Please note that only presentations prepared using this template can be considered.
You will be informed by 23 February 2026 whether your pitch has been accepted.
Battery Calls 2026/2027 & Pitch Talk Guidelines
Please review the relevant Battery Calls 2026/2027 and the Pitch Talk Guidelines in advance, as they provide important guidance for aligning your pitch with the targeted EU calls.
