BayFOR at the Battery Innovation Days 2025

After four successful editions, the Battery Innovation Days are back! On 2 and 3 December 2025, leading figures from politics, science and industry will gather in Graz to present and discuss the latest developments in European battery research and energy storage technologies.

This hybrid event is being organised by Battery 2030+, the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), and the Batteries 1st and 2nd IPCEIs (Important Project of Common European Interest), who are joining forces to create a Europe-wide platform for exchange and cooperation in the field of battery research. This year's event is being hosted by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG).

Aims of the event

Batteries are crucial to the development of technologies that will enable the EU to achieve its zero emission targets through a responsible and sustainable market. The “Battery Innovation Days 2025” will bring together stakeholders from politics, research, business and society to share knowledge, discuss trends, and establish new partnerships. The focus will be on the entire battery value chain, sustainability, and industrial competitiveness.

BayFOR at the Battery Innovation Days 2025

• RecyLIB – Reducing batteries’ environmental footprint
• SMHYLES – Development of novel salt- and water-based hybrid energy storage systems on an industrial scale
• TwinVECTOR – Pooling European competence in the development of world-class next-generation batteries.
