BayFIA at Science Day 2026 in Nuremberg

24/07/2026
[Translate to Englisch:] BayFIA auf dem Wissenschaftstag 2026

Machines learn, robots act – but it is people who shape what comes next. On Friday, 24 July 2026, the 19th Science Day of the European Metropolitan Region Nuremberg will focus on artificial intelligence and robotics; two technologies that are profoundly transforming research, business and everyday life. In Nuremberg, representatives from science, business, politics and society will discuss opportunities, limitations and new possibilities for the future of human-machine collaboration. BayFOR will be on site as a partner of BayFIA, contributing its expertise in European research and innovation funding.

AI and Robotics – Humans, Machines, Opportunities

Science Day 2026 in Nuremberg explores what artificial intelligence and robotics can achieve today – and the opportunities they create for research, business and society.

The scientific hosts of Science Day 2026 are the Nuremberg Institute of Technology Georg Simon Ohm and the University of Technology Nuremberg. The City of Nuremberg is hosting the event at the municipal level. Following previous editions in 2007 and 2014, Nuremberg will host the Science Day for the third time.

The event “Wissenschaftstag der Europäischen Metropolregion Nürnberg” brings together science, business, politics and society. It highlights the region’s research expertise, makes knowledge accessible and asks a key question: How will humans and machines work together in the future?

Join the event and actively contribute to the public dialogue on AI and robotics.
