Excellence Lab: Funding Opportunities in ERASMUS+ Key Action 2 for Capacity Building in the African and European Higher Education System

This workshop is the ideal platform for preparing an ERASMUS+ project application: It provides a basic introduction to the funding instrument ERASMUS+ and then focuses on the special requirements and challenges of applying for ERASMUS+.

ERASMUS+ is a European Union programme addressing various education, training and cooperation activities in the fields of education, training, youth and sport. Key Action 2 provides funding for partnerships and projects between organisations from different countries to develop and implement innovative educational practices, improve competences and enhance the quality of education and training systems. It includes activities such as:

• Developing innovative curricula and teaching methods
• Increasing the focus of study programmes on the economy (for example through internships)
• Setting up innovation centres
• Internationalisation of higher education Institutions

Providing additional training programmes for university staff.
