“International Research Careers”: BayFOR Provides Information on EU Funding Opportunities
International Research Careers in Challenging Times
Is a postdoc stay abroad still worthwhile today? How can such a stay be funded? What opportunities are available for international researchers to build networks beyond Germany? And how are research institutions responding to geopolitical changes?
These questions will be addressed at “International Research Careers: Postdoc Mobility, Global Exchange & Strategic Internationalisation in Challenging Times”, organised by the German Postdoc Network (GPN), the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH). The event will address both practical questions related to planning the next steps in a research career and current developments in international research and research collaboration.
The programme includes keynote speeches, panel discussions, an opportunities fair, as well as time for exchange and networking.
Who Is the Event Aimed At?
The event is aimed particularly at doctoral researchers and postdocs in Bavaria, both from Germany and abroad, who are interested in international research careers and global research collaboration. The event is also open to research managers and other professionals involved in internationalisation and the support of early-career researchers.
BayFOR Provides Information on European Research Funding
The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will be on site to provide information about its services in the field of European research and innovation funding. BayFOR supports researchers in identifying suitable EU funding programmes, preparing proposals and finding international project partners. BayFOR experts will be available on site to answer questions and for individual discussions.
