BayFOR at the VERTIFARM Congress: "Global Food Challenges: Vertical Farming as a Catalyst for Innovation & Climate Action"
At the center: exchange between international pioneers and regional actors
Where the climate crisis and food security intersect, innovative technologies are needed – but so is collaboration. That is why the summit focuses on knowledge transfer and networking: start-ups meet investors, researchers meet entrepreneurs, pioneers meet policymakers. Topics of discussion include:
- International perspectives: global trends, success stories, strategies
- Vertical farming as a driver of climate action: CO₂ reduction, resilience, sustainability
- Innovative food production & investments
- Cities as innovation hubs for sustainable agriculture
- Science & Technology: new research, modern control systems, AI in agricultural engineering
- Start-up Challenge: a stage for numerous promising young companies
The congress is organized by the Association for Vertical Farming e.V. (AVF) in cooperation with Messe Dortmund – as a spin-off of the VertiFarm trade fair – and with the kind support of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
