Universities in the Energy Transition: Science & Skills for Renewables Integration

Leuven (Belgium). From 31 May to 2 June 2017, the EU project “UNI-SET” (Universities in the SET-Plan) will organise an exchange on collaboration of European universities in research and education when it comes to integrating renewable energies into the energy system. During this three-day clustering event, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will present its approach to matching Horizon 2020 with structural funds.

This clustering event will already be the fifth in a row. The FP7 project UNI-SET has been organising these events since 2016 in order to push the development of innovative programmes for research and education in the field of energy. The event in Leuven will offer excellent opportunities to exchange experiences, check out new collaborations, and build up consortia.

Combining different funding programmes is one way to increase your chances at European level. BayFOR has already succeeded in matching Horizon 2020 and European structural funds and will present its experiences in a speech on the second day of the event.
