Workshop on science and data gaps in water-related EU projects

From January 12-15, 2011, BayFOR will take part in a EU workshop in Riederalp in Switzerland, which will gather 40 coordinators and key scientists working within European FP6 and FP7 projects that are broadly related to water and climate. The aim of this workshop, which is supported by the EU commission, is to strengthen the cross-project cooperation, and to find ways of improving methodologies, models and data used in the frame of current EU climate change and water-related projects.

The workshop participants also wish to develop suggestions for future FP7 call topics and for the initiation of new relevant research projects.

The EU project CLIMB (www.climb-fp7.eu) willl also be presented during the event.

Time: January 12-15, 2011

Venue: Art Furrer Resort Hotel, Riederalp, Switzerland
