The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)
The EU advisory network “Enterprise Europe Network” (EEN) offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) advice and support on topics such as funding, research programs, public procurement, market penetration and the promotion of innovation at European level. The EEN is part of the overall policy framework of the EU Commission for the promotion of entrepreneurial initiative and growth of enterprises in Europe (CIP). The network comprises more than 500 organisations across Europe, with 4,000 employees in 40 countries.
The Bavarian Research Alliance as an EEN partner
Within the framework of the EEN, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) functions as the interface between academia and business and promotes the active networking of Bavarian companies and universities at European level. As an EEN partner, BayFOR supports interested SMEs and universities in the preparation of grant applications for research programmes run by the EU Commission, and in particular the EU’s 7th Framework Programme (FP7).
BayFOR also helps SMEs and scientists in their search for suitable cooperation partners for their research projects. Thanks to a topic-specific search function in a Europe-wide database, BayFOR can suggest suitable partners from your field of research or work with you to actively set up a cooperation request across Europe. Scientific experts are available to support you and assist you with all substantive, administrative and financial issues.
