Scholarship Program for Bavarian and Israeli Early Career Researchers

Research and innovation are central to the bilateral relations between Bavaria and Israel. Nowadays, Bavarian-Israeli scientific relations cover almost all areas of research: health, energy, foodtech, agriculture, artificial intelligence, social science and humanities, to name just a few that reflect the broad field of common interests.

To further strengthen the research ties between Bavaria and Israel, the Bavarian Ministry of Science and the Arts has set up a funding program for early career researchers from Bavaria and Israel. These scholarships fund a one-months stay abroad at an Israeli or Bavarian research institute. The program welcomes applicants from all fields of research and aims to open up new opportunities for participants to further develop their academic careers and strengthen their international ties.

Who can apply?

The program invites early career researchers (advanced MA students and PhD students) from Bavaria and Israel who wish to complete a one-month stay abroad at a Bavarian/Israeli research institute.

Are you eligible for this program? Please contact the Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel for further questions and information.

Why to apply?

The scholarship program is designed to support participants to extend their international academic network, to meet new partners for joint ideas and to work on their own projects while being abroad (e. g. paper, thesis …).
