(C): Effects of UV radiation on ecological systems

UV radiation can have direct effects on plants (see Research Division "B") and indirect effects on plants and whole ecosystems. The latter are investigated in this Research Division by working on the following questions:

> Which reactions are induced by UV radiation in the biosphere of plant surfaces'

> Does UV radiation induce photochemical reactions on aerosols decomposing xenobiotica'
