I/5 Laserschweißen an Profilen und Blechen aus Leichtbauwerkstoffen

Field of work:

Lasertechnik

Laser welded joints on profiles and sheet metal made from light weight materials show high potential in traditional applications as well as in the household and furniture industry. In the project, this problem is approached from two sides in a joint effort. A flawless welding process is guaranteed by the use of both fast seam tracking sensors and improved clamping, which is made possible by developing a tool for computer based simulation of clamping devices.

Issues of future research:
· Development of parameter models in Patran for the simulation system · Modelling of clamping devices in the simulation system · Testing and optimization of the project results on the examplary part "lamp shade": seam tracking adaptive welding process simulation design of clamping devices

Application:
Transfer of the project results to various exemplary parts: · Welding of aluminum lamp shades · Welding and simulation of various car parts
