FORMAT has set itself the goal of user-friendly processing of information about materials and to present them online in the internet for free. Therefore two information databases have been developed: M-Line 2 Werkstoffsuche, the information database for materials, and M-Line 2 Kompetenzsuche, the competence network of German institutions in the field of materials research and development.
