For the Association of Bavarian Research Cooperations a database-driven information system is developed which provides information about all connected Research Cooperations. A special challenge is the integration of more than 24 different Research Cooperations into one common information structure, so that all the information is presented to the user in a uniform way. In addition to this, all data is classified using a list of keywords, topics, branches and other characteristics. Thus abayfor-online offers more compact and more user-friendly information than other research information systems project management is done by FORWISS. The project has started in February 1998 and will be finished after 18 months. Work is funded by the Bavarian state ministry of education, science and arts.
