Cost-Benefit-Analysis for the Introduction of Document- and Workflow-Management-Systems

Field of work:

Information Systems

The goal is to develop a concept for an offer system for document and workflow management systems, combined with a cost-benefit-analysis for potential customers of the software. Therefore, the functional and the process organization have to be analysed in the first step. Underlying the system is a knowledge base containing on the one hand data about finished projects, and on the other hand the modules of the document- and workflow-software, so called "Angebotsbausteine". The aim is to build up know-how about the needs of companies of different industries, process types or manufacturing type. Furthermore, the contribution of workflow-software to the corporate strategy has to be discussed (decision support, activity-based costing, simulation of business processes) and a process repository has to be developped, in order to enable process-benchmarking for selected core processes of certain industries.
