Participant Colloqium Creativity and Innovation in Urban Ecosystems
From 11 to 12 October, 2018, the University of Passau hosted an intercultural and interdisciplinary colloquium, "Creativity and Innovation in Urban Ecosystems - Munich and Montreal in Comparison".

Sixty participants from science, research, and business, as well as representatives of the governments of Bavaria and Québec, discussed the differences and similarities of the urban innovation ecosystems of the metropoles of Munich and Montréal. The colloquium was held as part of this German-Canadian cooperation between the Passau Chair of Intercultural Communication of Professor Christoph Barmeyer and Professor Allain Joly of the HEC Montréal Business School in Québec.
The colloquium, which consisted of short presentations, discussion rounds, interactive question-and-answer sessions, workshops, and a poster vernissage, was embedded in Prof. Barmeyer and Prof. Joly's overarching comparative cultural research project entitled "L'Écologie sociale et structurelle des villes créatives".
