The Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) is partnering with the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts to launch a new bilateral research program on AI-powered and Human-Centered Robotics for Real-World Applications. 

The WKS Bavaria-Québec/Alberta/International at BayFOR regularly invites guests to a virtual dialogue on current topics of international research cooperation between its partner regions.

The Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences (THWS) and the Silesian University of Technology (Politechnika Śląska) are collaborating within the new EU-funded project “BioFACTORy”. The project develops an AI-supported platform for automated production of bioimplants. The Bavaria-Poland Cooperation Office in MedTech was involved in fostering the bilateral collaboration in the lead-up to the project.

There are currently several funding programs and opportunities for cooperation available in the Bavaria-Québec partnership.

The regular Bavaria-Québec bilateral working group call for project proposals between the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec (MRIF) and the Bavarian State Chancellery (StK) is now open again for the 2026–2028 period.

On July 7, 2026, the three TOM small satellites from Zentrum für Telematik (ZfT), Bavaria, successfully launched to orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, USA. 

From 14th-18th June 2026, all seven RLS regions came together for the RLS-Sciences Overall Conference 2026. 

As part of the cooperation agreement between Bavaria and Québec, there is a call for applications for scholarships in the field of Québec Studies for the year 2026.
