From 14th-18th June 2026, all seven RLS regions came together for the RLS-Sciences Overall Conference 2026. 

As part of the cooperation agreement between Bavaria and Québec, there is a call for applications for scholarships in the field of Québec Studies for the year 2026. 

From May 11 to 15, 2026, the 93th Acfas Congress brought together the Francophone scientific community at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and online.

The UdeM computer-science professor is named a co-recipient of the annual award, considered “the Nobel Prize in computing”.  

The Delegation of the European Union to Canada hosted a series of webinars on Horizon Europe, with dedicated info sessions on specific aspects of the EU's framework program for research and innovation. 

The WKS Bavaria-Québec/Alberta/International at BayFOR regularly invites guests to a virtual dialogue on current topics of international research cooperation between its partner regions.

The Mitacs Accelerate Global Excellence Award is a new funding opportunity for outstanding researchers to work on an industry-oriented research project at a Canadian university in collaboration with a partner.

Professor Julien Cohen-Adad from the Department of Electrical Engineering has been awarded the 2026 Prize for Excellence in Research and Innovation by the Academic Council of Polytechnique Montréal.  

The WKS Bavaria-Québec/Alberta/International is hosting the InfoDay Research in Innovation in Canada with focus on high technology on Monday, 15th December 2025. 

On October 23, 2025, ISED and the Delegation of the EU to Canada were collaborating to host an information session on how Canadian researchers can make the most of the opportunities within Horizon Europe.
