There are currently several funding programs and opportunities for cooperation available in the Bavaria-Québec partnership.

The Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) is partnering with the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts to launch a new bilateral research program on AI-powered and human-centered robotics for real-world applications.

The regular Bavaria-Québec bilateral working group call for project proposals between the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec (MRIF) and the Bavarian State Chancellery (StK) is now open again for the 2026–2028 period.

The RLS-Sciences Summer newsletter is now online. This special edition reflects on the RLS-Sciences Overall Conference 2026 and features exciting updates from network partners, including the launch of the three TOM Small Satellites on 7 July. In this edition, we also announce the next RLS-Sciences activities in the fall.

On July 7, 2026, the three TOM small satellites from Zentrum für Telematik (ZfT), Bavaria, successfully launched to orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, USA. 

From 14th-18th June 2026, all seven RLS regions came together for the RLS-Sciences Overall Conference 2026. 

As part of the cooperation agreement between Bavaria and Québec, there is a call for applications for scholarships in the field of Québec Studies for the year 2026. 

From May 11 to 15, 2026, the 93th Acfas Congress brought together the Francophone scientific community at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and online.

The UdeM computer-science professor is named a co-recipient of the annual award, considered “the Nobel Prize in computing”.  

The Delegation of the European Union to Canada hosted a series of webinars on Horizon Europe, with dedicated info sessions on specific aspects of the EU's framework program for research and innovation.
