EUREKA - German-Israeli call for joint R&D projects (Deadline: July 21, 2026)

This year’s EUREKA call for proposals supports German-Israeli R&D projects focused on the development of innovative products and applications across all technology and application areas. 

 

Applicants are expected to develop market-ready solutions for products, technology-based services, or processes that demonstrate high market potential for Germany, Israel, and Europe. 

Requirements for a project consortium

General: 

•    At least one eligible German and one eligible Israeli company. Academic partners are also eligible.

•    The project should offer a clear advantage and added value resulting from the collaboration between participants from both countries.

•    No restriction to specific technologies or industries

•    No single country or organization may be responsible for more than 70% of the project budget.

•    The project proposal will be evaluated according to the criteria of impact, excellence, quality and efficiency of implementation, and overall perception.

•    Projects must serve civilian purposes.

Germany:

•    Eligible to apply are all German companies with up to 1,000 employees (or consortia of such companies) that conduct research and development to develop an innovative product, process, or technological service—including in collaboration with a research institution or a university. 

•    There are no restrictions regarding specific technologies or economic sectors. 

•    The application must comply with ZIM regulations, i.e., it must be written in German.

Israel:

•    Eligible applicants are Israeli research and development companies that initiate a one- or multi-year program providing know-how, processes, or methods for the production of a new product, a new application, a technology-based service, or a new process. 

•    The product must demonstrate significant potential for export sales.

•    Research institutes or other participants may apply as subcontractors to a company.

Budget: 

Germany:

•    Per company: up to 450,000 euros per subproject (max. 60% of eligible project costs)

•    Per research institution: 100% of eligible project costs
