RAMP Joint Call 2026 (22 September 2026)

Transnational research and innovation projects across the raw materials value chain are invited to apply for the first Joint Transnational Call 2026 of RAMP: The Raw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition under Horizon Europe. 40 funding organizations from 27 countries are participating in the call, including Germany and Israel.
 

RAMP invites proposals that focus on improving access to raw materials, while promoting circular economy practices, advancing sustainability, and minimizing social and environmental costs. Proposals are encouraged to connect the different stages of the supply chain, bridge multiple disciplines, engage with stakeholders and demonstrate their relevance to the current policy landscape.

The call is organized as a two-stage application process (pre-proposal and full proposal).

Topics:

The call covers six thematic areas across the raw materials value chain. Applicants must choose one main topic that best reflects the project’s main objective and expected impact. 

• Topic 1 – Ensuring a resilient supply of raw materials from primary sources

• Topic 2 – Targeting secondary sources to enhance access to raw materials

• Topic 3 – Efficient and effective use of raw materials in design and production

• Topic 4 – Overcoming technological barriers to circularity

• Topic 5 – Putting circular economy ambitions into action

• Topic 6 – Innovative approaches for analysing raw materials value chains

Inter- and transdisciplinary approaches are strongly encouraged across all topics.

Eligibility:

• Transnational consortia of at least 3 partners requesting funding from 3 participating countries.
• At least two of these must be EU Member States or associated countries
• Types of partners: Universities and higher education institutions, research organisations, small, medium and large companies, consultancies, other organisations such as municipalities, public bodies, and non-governmental organisations
• Potential partners have to check that they are eligible according to their respective national/regional funder

Application procedure:

Applications must be submitted via the official submission system. 

Some national or regional funding organisations may also require separate applications. Applicants must check the specific requirements of their funder, in the annex 1 to the official call, which is available here. 

Deadline:

The pre-proposal deadline is 22 September 2026 (15:00 CEST).
