The Azrieli Foundation’s Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship offers a two-year award granted to up to 24 postdoctoral researchers each year. The fellowship provides generous funding and personal support to outstanding scholars across all academic disciplines. Leading Israeli universities—renowned as hubs of science, research, and innovation—offer Azrieli Fellows an enriching academic experience.
Eligibility:
- Researchers of any academic discipline are welcome
- Planning a stay at an eligible institution in Israel
- The fellowship is open to candidates who received their PhD degree no earlier than 1 November 2023 in all countries except Israel
- PhD candidates may apply if they complete their dissertation defense no later than 1 June 2027
- Applicants must not have received an academic degree in an Israeli institution. However, former visiting and/or exchange students to Israel are eligible to apply.
- At the time of application, candidates are required to have an academic sponsor, who is a faculty member at an eligible Israeli academic institution
Funding and Duration:
- The program grants a monthly stipend of 14,000 ILS
- An additional 20,000 ILS are granted annually for research expenses and research-related travel
- Duration of two years
