GIF-Nexus 2024 (submission deadline Pre-proposal: February 22, 2024)

GIF Nexus 2024 promotes outstanding research collaborations between German and Israeli researchers, one with a focus topic in the STEM subjects and one in the social sciences and humanities.

GIF Nexus is the new flaship program of  the German-Israel-Foundation and supports cooperation projects and individual projects of young German and Israeli scientists and established researchers.

Focus topics 2024

1. STEM: Origin of the structures in the universe
2. Social sciences and humanities: Dealing with memories and identities

Project duration and budget
Cooperation project: max. 2 years (max. €150,000 per year)
Project without cooperation partner: 1 year (max. € 25,000)

Application deadlines

1st stage: February 22, 2024
Announcement of the evaluation results of the 1st stage: April 18, 2024
2nd stage: June 23, 2024
