Funding opportunities

The joint call for proposals of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) supports German-Israeli project collaborations in the field of basic research in all subject areas. The call is implemented according to the lead agency procedure, whereby the two funding organizations alternate in reviewing the research proposals. In this first call, the DFG will act as lead agency and be responsible for the evaluation process. In a second call for proposals, the ISF will assume the role of lead agency.

The European funding initiative COST supports the establishment of research networks, the COST Actions, in which institutions from Germany and Israel, as well as 41 other countries, participate.

The German-Israeli EUREKA call for proposals is aimed at companies and scientific institutions from Germany and Israel and promotes market-oriented research collaborations on innovative topics. It focuses on products and technology-based tools, services or methods in all technology and application areas that have strong market potential for Germany, Israel and Europe.
