Delegation trip to Israel: 3rd Bavaria-Israel Symposium in Jerusalem: Energy (09-11 November 2019) 

From 09-11 November 2019, the third "Bavaria-Israel Symposium" took place, organised by the Scientific Coordination Office (WKS) Bavaria-Israel together with the Bavarian office in Tel Aviv and the "Israel-Europe R&D Directorate" (ISERD), for which purpose a delegation of Bavarian scientists travelled to Israel.

From 09-11 November 2019, the third "Bavaria-Israel Symposium" took place, organised by the Scientific Coordination Office (WKS) Bavaria-Israel together with the Bavarian office in Tel Aviv and the "Israel-Europe R&D Directorate" (ISERD), for which purpose a delegation of Bavarian scientists travelled to Israel. The event aimed at (1) strengthening the network between Bavarian and Israeli researchers in the field of "Sustainable Energy" and (2) giving the Bavarian participants a comprehensive insight into Israel as a location for research and innovation. To this end, the Bavarian participants used the first day to visit various Israeli companies and start-ups from the energy sector. On the second day, Bavarian and Israeli scientists met for a day of joint workshops in Jerusalem to discuss selected calls for proposals from the EU's Horizon 2020 research framework programme. The research area of energy is of great interest to both Bavaria and Israel and offers numerous points of contact for further joint projects.
