Video-Podcast: The science of big data in healthcare with Prof. Jean-Noël Nikiema

In the video podcast “Parlons recherche” from the École de santé publique de l'Université de Montréal (ESPUM), Prof. Jean-Noël Nikiema explains how huge amounts of data can really be harnessed for research and clinical care.

Jean-Noël Nikiema is an assistant professor at the Institute of Health Management, Evaluation and Policy, researcher at the Public Health Research Center and co-director of the Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Health (LabTNS) at the Université de Montréal. In the Bavaria-Québec scientific cooperation, Prof. Nikiema is part of the project on training in digital health.

As an expert in digital health and health big data analysis, he explains in the video how ontologies, biomedical terminologies and advanced digital tools can help transform this data into reliable and usable knowledge.
