"Mobility of the Future" Delegation to Montréal, Toronto and Waterloo

At the initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, a delegation travelled to Canada from 3rd to 8th June 2019 to visit high tech sites in Montréal, Toronto, and Waterloo.

Partners of the trip were the State of Bavaria Office in Montréal, the Center for Digitization.Bavaria, Bayern Innovativ, the Digital Hub Mobility, and the Bavarian Research Alliance (WKS Bayern-Québec/Alberta/International). Under the motto "Sustainable mobility of the future", more than 30 Bavarian entrepreneurs and scientists attended the Michelin ‘’Movin'On’’ conference in Montréal. In Toronto and in the Waterloo region, the delegation visited companies, held cooperation talks and participated in networking events with Canadian business and scientific contacts including the Vector Institute and Element^AI. A special highlight was a visit to the University of Waterloo. During the trip, new business opportunities and fields of cooperation opened up, and existing research activities with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) were intensified.

The cooperation between Bavaria and Québec will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019.
