Eleven new European partnerships to mobilize new research investment

[Translate to Englisch:] Horizon Europe Partnerships

Together with industry representatives, the EU Commission launched 11 new partnerships earlier this week to increase investment in research and innovation to address major climate and sustainability challenges. The partnerships will receive more than €8 billion from Horizon Europe, the EU's new framework program for research and innovation, from 2021-2027.

Including commitments from private partners and from member states, total commitments amount to around €22 billion. This will enable the partnerships to implement innovative solutions on a large scale, for example to reduce emissions from energy-intensive industries such as shipping and steel production, and to develop and put into use high-performance batteries, sustainable fuels, data technologies and robotics.

All further information as well as the detailed listing of the eleven European partnerships can be found here.
