Advanced Materials Agenda

The Advanced Materials 2030 Initiative (AMI2030) aims to set up a pan-European multi-sectoral accelerator for the design, development and uptake of sustainable advanced materials towards a circular economy.

AMI2030 seeks to establish a co-programmed partnership for the remaining work programmes of Horizon Europe, focussing on boosting industrial competitiveness, reinforcing EU sovereignty, establishing and strengthening advanced material value chains, and contributing to the digital age through smarter advanced materials and data economy. If brought into existence, the future partnership would focus on activities within Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 3-8 and be complementary with EU, (trans-)national and (trans-) regional funding instruments.

The initiative's recently published Strategic Materials Agenda intends to feed into the discussions on the Coordinated Plan of Action on advanced materials, currently in discussion between the European Commission and the Member States.

The agenda can be found here.
