The European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation is looking for a group of experts to carry out an interim evaluation of Horizon Europe. It has launched a call for applications. The 15-member expert group will make strategic recommendations to the Commission on how to maximise the impact of future Framework Programmes.

The recommendations will be based on the evaluation of Horizon 2020 and the interim evaluation of Horizon Europe. The recommendations will feed into the design of the next Research Framework Programme 2028-2034 (FP 10). The expert group will examine the progress of Horizon Europe, its added value in the light of EU needs and objectives, as well as the internal and external coherence of Horizon Europe and its synergies with other EU (and Member State) programmes.

The expert group will be appointed by DG RTD for a period of up to 16 months. Members should have relevant experience and be prepared to systematically attend meetings, actively contribute to the group's discussions, participate in preparatory work prior to meetings, review/comment on documents under discussion and act as 'rapporteurs' on an ad hoc basis as appropriate.

The deadline for applications is 30 June. Further information can be found here.
