12th Research Day 2025

Researchers will present their current projects to create opportunities for collaboration. From 15:15 to 16:45, thematic workshops (see programme) will be held to expand networks with external partners and promote knowledge and technology transfer. Participation is free of charge. Workshops can be selected when registering.
One focus of the event is the BayFOR workshop "How do I get funding for my research project and what do I need to consider when submitting an application?
Part 1 (15:15-15:55):
- Framework conditions of European funding programmes for research and innovation
- Green EU funding themes in the fields of environment and climate adaptation, renewable energy and hydrogen
The first part of the workshop will present the framework conditions of the world's largest framework programme for research and innovation. In addition to formal aspects, political backgrounds that play an important role in the application process will also be discussed. Specific calls for proposals on environment and climate adaptation, renewable energy and hydrogen will round off this part.
Part 2 (16:00-16:40):
- Positive and negative experiences of BayFOR in application support (tips and tricks, avoidable mistakes)
- Exchange of experiences on the specific strengths and challenges of universities of applied sciences
In the second part of the workshop, we want to discuss what should be better left out of applications or what needs special attention. Are there any mistakes we should all be aware of, what experiences have the participants made so far (lessons learnt)? At the same time, the specific challenges faced by HAWs in competing for European R&I funding will be addressed.
