[Translate to Englisch:] Women TechEU

With the pilot funding programme Women TechEU, the European Commission supports women-led deep-tech start-ups.

In this way, it wants to close the innovation gap between the sexes and promote the development of women into tech champions. The programme is part of the Innovation Ecosystems section of the European Innovation Council (EIC) in the EU's Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. On 1 March, the first selected companies were published: out of over three hundred applications submitted, fifty companies from fifteen countries will receive the funding.

To our great delight, the Bavarian company MUnique Tech GbR, which was supported by BayFOR's SME consultancy during the application phase, is among them. Congratulations!

The start-up from Gilching can look forward to a grant of 75,000 euros and first-class coaching and mentoring from the EIC's Women Leadership programme. With their DORT system (Dynamic Optical Ranging & Timing), a pulsed optical device for high-precision distance measurement in space, Ms Elisabeth Paul and Dr Bastian Eder were able to convince the jury. As of now, preparations for the grant agreement are underway.

The complete list of all fifty selected companies of the first Women-TechEU pilot project can be found here. You can find out more about MUnique Tech here.
