New EU platform ‘AI-on-Demand’ offers trustworthy AI tools for research and industry

The European Commission has equipped the AI-on-Demand platform with new features to accelerate the use of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI) in Europe. The platform is aimed specifically at researchers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), industry and the public sector, and provides a one-stop shop for verified AI tools, data sets and computing resources.

The platform was developed as part of the EU-funded projects AI4Europe and DeployAI. New features include: 

• an AI marketplace with ready-to-use solutions,
• a user-friendly AI development tool with minimal programming effort,
• and secure modules for generative AI and large language models (LLMs). 

The platform supports the EU Action Plan ‘Europe as an AI Continent’ and aims to help close the innovation gap in AI. 

A key objective is to promote the safe, scalable and responsible use of AI technologies across Europe. Organisations can register their solutions on the platform to become part of a growing network and connect with potential partners from academia and industry.
