European Commission Seeks Experts for Frontier AI Forum – Strengthening Europe’s Competitiveness and Digital Sovereignty
Strategic Forum for Europe’s AI Leadership
The Expert Forum is aimed at senior decision-makers from the European AI ecosystem. Its purpose is to assess existing frontier AI initiatives, identify bottlenecks and challenges, and develop strategic recommendations to strengthen Europe’s AI landscape.
Key focus areas include:
- EU competitiveness in the global AI race
- Europe’s digital and technological sovereignty
- Security and trustworthiness of frontier AI
- Scaling European AI models
- Expanding computing infrastructure (AI factories and AI gigafactories)
You can express your interest until 12 March, 18:00 CET, using this application form.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their ideas and exchange views with other key actors to help shape the future direction of the Frontier AI Initiative. Discussions will take place under the Chatham House Rule. To ensure transparency, the AI Office will publish key takeaways and updates related to the initiative.
The first meeting of the Expert Forum will be held online on 23 April 2026 from 13:30 to 18:00 CET. Selected
