HaDEA Seeks Experts for Evaluations in AI, Robotics and Sensor Technologies – Horizon Europe Cluster 4 Launches Digital 2026

The European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) is seeking experts to evaluate project proposals under Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation programme for the period 2021–2027. The focus lies on Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space. Professionals with proven expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), intelligent robotics, sensor technologies, and digital-physical system integration are invited to apply.

With the “Digital 2026” initiative, the EU aims to strengthen its technological sovereignty, competitiveness, and resilience. HaDEA specifically supports research and innovation in strategically important future technologies.

Experts in Innovative Materials and Sensor Technologies Wanted

In the field of advanced materials with digital and sensing functionalities, HaDEA is looking for specialists experienced in the development of high-performance materials, multifunctional surfaces, and cost-efficient sensor solutions.

Relevant application areas include:

  • Environmental monitoring
  • Health monitoring
  • IoT systems and wearables
  • Industrial manufacturing processes

Suitable profiles include experts in materials science, smart and multifunctional materials, manufacturing and production technologies, as well as sensor technologies. Experience in scalability, industrial deployment, and sustainable production is considered a strong asset.

AI Agents and Autonomous Systems in Focus

Within the field of Artificial Intelligence and autonomous digital systems, HaDEA seeks experts with solid experience in:

  • Agent-based AI architectures
  • Multi-agent systems
  • Adaptive and autonomous systems
  • Trustworthy and explainable AI

Practical experience in applying AI solutions across industry, mobility, healthcare, energy, or public services is highly desirable. The objective is to evaluate projects that advance the next generation of intelligent, autonomous systems in Europe.

Intelligent Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction

HaDEA is also recruiting evaluation experts in intelligent robotics and user-centric automation. Particularly relevant expertise includes:

Hands-on experience beyond laboratory environments—especially regarding safety, reliability, and integration into industrial or service settings—is a key selection criterion.
