BayFIA at the “TRANSFERleben Community Summit”
The “TRANSFERleben Community Summit” will take place on 13 October 2026 in Munich, bringing together stakeholders from academia, industry and technology transfer to promote the development of digital skills and the transfer of technological innovations in Bavaria. The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will have an information stand where it will present its support services for research, development and innovation. As a BayFIA partner organisation, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will contribute its expertise in European research and innovation funding.

BayFOR presents H2G2 at the EA Energy launch in Athens: “Building the Skills for the Energy Transition”
Europe’s energy transition needs more than new technologies and investment: it needs skilled professionals who can put innovation into practice. On 13 October 2026, the European Academy will launch EA Energy in Athens, a professional training initiative for the energy sector. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will contribute a keynote entitled “European Funding & International Cooperation for the Energy Transition”. Drawing on the German-Greek H2G2 project, the presentation will demonstrate how European funding and international cooperation strengthen knowledge and technology transfer for green hydrogen.

Munich Climate Week 2026: EU Funding Opportunities for Climate Projects
Are you developing new solutions for climate action, climate adaptation or resilience and looking for suitable EU funding opportunities? As part of Munich Climate Week 2026, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) offers you two opportunities to find out more. Meet our EU funding experts in person at the BayFOR information stand at the TUM Water Cluster event on 20 October, or join our free online workshop on 23 October to learn how to identify suitable EU calls for proposals and prepare a competitive application. Both events are particularly aimed at researchers, innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups, as well as local authorities and foundations wishing to turn their project ideas into reality through international research and innovation projects.

BRIDGES: AI, Robotics & Data 2026 – Workshop and Matchmaking for Horizon Europe Projects
The EIT Hub Israel, together with the Israel-Europe R&I Directorate and the EU Delegation to Israel, invites experienced stakeholders from the research and innovation community to apply for the consortium-building programme "BRIDGES: AI, Robotics & Data 2026", taking place in Munich on 20–21 October 2026. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) supports the event as the local network partner for the Bavarian research and innovation ecosystem. The programme focuses on four calls under Horizon Europe Cluster 4 in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and data.

The event will focus on international research careers, postdoc mobility and global research collaboration. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will be on site to present its services in the field of European research and innovation funding.

Bavaria–Ukraine Cooperation in Research and Innovation – EU Project Essentials: From Idea to Implementation
Do you have a research or innovation idea that you would like to develop into a collaborative EU project? But which funding programme is the right fit for your project? How can you find suitable project partners from Bavaria and Ukraine? How can you jointly develop a compelling funding proposal, and what do you need to consider when it comes to budget planning and EU project management? On 27 till 29 October 2026, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will address these questions in a free webinar series on Bavarian-Ukrainian cooperation in research and innovation. The series aims to connect Ukrainian and Bavarian stakeholders from academia, industry, municipalities and public institutions, provide them with the skills needed to successfully apply for funding, identify promising project ideas, and support the development of strong consortia for European research and innovation programmes.

Workshop: Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability – International Research Collaboration with Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe
How can artificial intelligence help to achieve global sustainability goals? And what opportunities are there for international research and innovation partnerships between Bavaria and countries in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe? On 29 and 30 October 2026, the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (BAYHOST), in collaboration with the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, is hosting a workshop on artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability and international cooperation. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will present relevant European funding opportunities and provide advice on EU research and innovation funding.

BayFOR at the Battery Innovation Days 2026 in Stockholm
On 11 and 12 November 2026, the European battery community will come together in Stockholm for the Battery Innovation Days 2026 (BID 2026). The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will be represented with its own booth, where it will provide advice on EU funding opportunities for research and innovation and showcase the European research project SMHYLES.
