BayFOR at panel discussion on “European AI Ecosystem and the Role of Cities and Regions”
The focus of the event is on the position of cities and regions in developing the AI ecosystem.
Europe can expand existing research capacities and reach critical mass through networks of European centres of excellence, which will be introduced in several regions and countries – for instance in Bavaria and the Czech Republic – in 2020. Encouraging collaboration between the best research teams and joining forces for more effective scientific and technological progress in AI will help Europe to maintain its competitiveness.
The event will be held in the Prague House and hosted by Lucie Čadilová, Head of Delegation of Prague to the EU, and Jaroslav Zajíček, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to Coreper I. Jan Klesla, the Czech National Coordinator for European AI Centres, will moderate the event. Before the panel discussion, key note speeches by the Mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib, EU Commissioner Věra Jourová and Deputy PM and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček will give an insight into the topic. BayFOR is invited to take part in the high-level panel discussion which will also welcome Luboš Král, Researcher at the Czech Technical University in Prague and PRG.AI, Maxime Brivois, CEO of Aleego (Prague) and Clemens Wasner, CEO of EnliteAI (Vienna).
