Brussels. UAS4EUROPE, the voice of European universities of applied sciences (UAS), invites stakeholders to come together on 28 February 2018 in order to discuss the role UAS can and shall play in the upcoming 9th framework programme for research and innovation (FP9).

FP9 will be the successor of the current Horizon 2020 programme and is supposed to start in January 2021. The first draft of FP9 is expected to be published before summer break 2018.

The event will include a presentation of the UAS4EUROPE position paper on FP9 as well as a contribution from a UAS researcher, to which the European Commission will respond subsequently. A panel discussion, which will also allow the audience to engage with the speakers, will throw a light on the contributions UAS can bring to the table in FP9. Panelist Professor Walter Schober, Vice-President of Hochschule Bayern e.V., will share his experiences and expectations from the Bavarian point of view.

UAS4EUROPE is a joint initiative from EURASHE, UASnet, swissuniversities, Hochschule Bayern e.V. (supported by the Bavarian Research Alliance) and the Austrian FHK.
