Excellence Lab Bavaria Africa: Horizon Europe funding opportunities and matchmaking for AU-EU calls in Cluster 6

The event offers an ideal platform to get to know potential international project partners with a focus on agroecology for better food and nutrition security or the improvement of humanitarian therapeutic food and to exchange concrete project ideas.
International cooperation with the Global South, especially Africa, is an important part of Horizon Europe, the EU's framework programme for research and innovation. The programme is embedded in the relevant policy frameworks and current objectives of the European Commission, such as the AU-EU Innovation Agenda.
The event will be divided into two thematic parts and will take place on two consecutive days to highlight the specific requirements of each of the three DRAFTS:
- Developing agroecology living labs and lighthouses under the Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA) partnership
- Developing a joint AU-EU Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) supporting the Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA) partnership
- Nutrition in emergency situations – Ready-to-use Supplementary Food (RUSF) and Ready-to-use Therapeutic Food (RUTF)
Based on the specific call for proposals, the basic approach to such texts is presented and details to be considered when applying are highlighted.
Please note that the presentation of the draft texts is not exhaustive. The European Commission may make changes to the content at any time prior to official publication.
Participants are invited to briefly present their expertise and, if applicable, concrete project ideas that could be submitted under the respective Horizon Europe call topics mentioned above.
