Excellence Lab Bavaria-Africa: Successful Applications for Horizon Europe Calls

International cooperation with the global South, especially Africa, is an important part of Horizon Europe, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The programme is embedded in the relevant policy framework of the European Commission, such as the joint Africa-EU strategy, with a focuses on achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The path to a successful EU funding application requires sufficient preparation and teamwork. We will show you how to find suitable project partners and at the same time offer an ideal platform for this with our event. We will inform you about the timeline of the application process, how to submit an application on time in an international team, what is important in individual chapters and what you need to pay attention to when planning your budget.

We explain all of this in a practical way using these three specific calls from clusters 5 and 6:

• Accelerating the green transition and energy access in Africa
• EU-AU cooperation on agroforestry management for climate change adaptation and mitigation
• EU-African Union – towards climate-neutral, social just fair trade food systems
