Excellence Lab Bavaria – Togo / Ghana / Benin: Insight into the world of EU research funding / Financement européen de la recherche – un aperçu

International cooperation with the Global South, especially Africa, is an important part of Horizon Europe, the EU's framework programme for research and innovation. The programme is embedded in the relevant policy framework of the European Commission, such as the joint Africa-EU strategy, with a focus on achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Our event is intended to be an introduction to available EU funding schemes (e.g. ERASMUS+). Additionally, participants from Togo, Benin and Ghana will present national funding instruments in the respective country and pitch project ideas. During the workshop, we will further highlight some contents of the joint Africa-EU strategy and give participants the opportunity to discuss current challenges in international scientific cooperation and their wishes for future cooperation.

Participants are invited to briefly present their project ideas and areas of research, as well as national funding instruments in Togo, Benin and Ghana.

Please note that there is only a limited number of places available for this event (about 30 participants). In case the event is overbooked, the organisers reserve the right to prioritise the participants based on their profile, expertise and/or project idea.

Submission of presentations of project ideas and/or expertise

Participants interested in giving a brief presentation are asked to submit their presentation (after they have filled in the registration form) to: Bayern-Afrika@no-spam-pleasebayfor.org, by 01 April 2022 at the latest.
