Kick-off event ‘From challenge to opportunity’ – Launch of the EU project GroundWork and for AGRI FUTURE LAB Bavaria pioneer
AERA Land gGmbH invites you to the launch event for the GroundWork project, part of the European Horizon Europe programme, on 12 November 2025. This EU project is a significant milestone in the transformation of European livestock and agricultural production towards improved soil health, regenerative food production, and climate-resilient agriculture. Simultaneously, GroundWork is establishing the groundwork for the long-term innovation network AGRI FUTURE LAB Bavaria, which is dedicated to developing practical solutions for a sustainable future. BayFOR has already supported the consortium in its successful application and will now contribute its extensive expertise in setting up and coordinating living labs.

International Workshop and Matchmaking Event: Sustainable, secure and competitive energy supply (Horizon Europe, Cluster 5, Destination 3) on 13 November 2025 (online)
On 13 November 2025, BayFOR’s Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria–Israel and the Bavarian Office in the UK host a joint workshop on “Sustainable, secure and competitive energy supply”. Experts from Bavaria, the UK, Israel and beyond will explore Horizon Europe 2026 funding opportunities, foster collaboration, and discuss breakthrough R&I in renewables, energy systems, storage and grids.

Matchmaking: Industry meets industry – international cooperation in the defence sector
On 19 November 2025, the day before the NEDS – NIDV Exhibition for Defence & Security, international cooperation in the defence and security industry will take centtre stage in Rotterdam. At ‘Defence Industry Matchmaking 2025’, companies, research institutions and start-ups will exchange ideas on new technologies, business opportunities and potential collaborations. This event is organised by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in collaboration with the NIDV. BayFOR is co-organiser as a partner in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

Information event: Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education
On 3 December 2025, the Bavarian-Israel Scientific Coordination Office of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) and the Erasmus+ Office Israel are hosting a digital information event on the Erasmus+ programme ‘Capacity Building in Higher Education’ (CBHE). Participants will gain practical insights into the various programme lines and the application process, as well as receiving tips for successful applications. The focus will be on the funding guidelines for strands 1 ('Promoting access to cooperation in higher education') and 2 ('Partnerships for change in higher education').
