Munich. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) and the Research Council of Norway (RCN) will hold a workshop on 23 and 24 October in Munich  which aims to bring together Norwegian and Bavarian stakeholders from research, public organisations and the business sector in order to explore possibilities for international cooperation within Horizon 2020.

Are you working in the fields of energy, climate or environment? Are you interested in international cooperation on research and innovation? Do you want to extend your network?

Come to our Norwegian-Bavarian Workshop on Future Opportunities within Energy, Climate and Environment in Munich on 23 and 24 October 2018.

Building on existing networks, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) and the Research Council of Norway (RCN) are organising their first event together. With our interactive programme, we aim to bring together Norwegian and Bavarian stakeholders from research, public organisations and the business sector, thereby facilitating their cooperation in international research and innovation projects in the context of the Europe 2020 strategy on smart, sustainable and inclusive growth and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Join us on 23 October from 12:00 onwards to learn more about the ongoing Bavarian-Norwegian collaboration in the EU-funded project FIThydro. Get to know the EU’s programme on research and innovation, Horizon 2020, and other funding programmes as well as the support you can receive from BayFOR and the RCN. Take the chance to present your organisation, your expertise and your project ideas in a flash presentation to your peers. Dive into the Societal Challenges on Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy as well as Climate, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials in a lively discussion with experts, evaluators and other participants with various sector-independent backgrounds.  After an informative day and new insights, you will have the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings and to network during our get-together starting at 7 pm.

During our Networking Café on 24 October, you will be able to choose one of four thematic areas, debate with other participants and get new impulses from several experts. Seize this opportunity to take part in our discussion on the future of European research and innovation in support of the sustainable development goals with stakeholders from Norway and Bavaria.

This event is of interest for you, if you

  • would like  to learn more about the opportunities of international research and innovation cooperation in Europe

  • aim to expand your network, meet new partners, pitch your project ideas, show off your research and present your business concepts
