BayFOR at the VERTIFARM Congress: "Global Food Challenges: Vertical Farming as a Catalyst for Innovation & Climate Action"
How can we feed a growing world population in a climate-friendly, resource-efficient, and urban way? Answers will be provided at the international expert conference 9th AVF Summit, which views vertical farming not as a niche, but as a cornerstone of sustainable agriculture. For two days, leading minds from science, business, and politics will meet in Munich to discuss technologies, build networks – and outline solutions.

BayFIA and BayFOR at IAA MOBILITY 2025 in Munich!
From 9 to 14 September 2025, Munich will become the international meeting place for the mobility industry. The event, held under the motto 'It's All About Mobility', will showcase the latest trends and technologies in sustainable mobility, autonomous driving, and digital innovations. At the joint stand of the Free State of Bavaria, the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will present its extensive range of support services for business and science. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will provide information on EU funding programmes for research and innovation, particularly in the areas of mobility, digitalisation, and sustainability.

Munich Postdoc Day 2025
Munich Postdoc Day is back! This biannual event, which will take place on 17 September 2025, will bring together postdocs from the Munich region to network, exchange ideas and reflect on their career prospects. It is organised by the Munich Postdoc Network (MPN). It is aimed at scientists working in research, teaching or industry after completing their PhD. The network's goal is to promote networking, exchange, and professional development among postdocs.

SUSTAINABLE PRINTED ELECTRONICS (SPE) 2025: International Conference on Sustainable Printed Electronics
The international conference SUSTAINABLE PRINTED ELECTRONICS (SPE) 2025 will take place from 23 to 25 September 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece, and will be dedicated to the forward-looking topic of ‘sustainable printed electronics’. The event is organised by EXELISIS with the support of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) and AXIA Innovation, which are partners in the EU project Sustain-a-Print (SaP). This conference is an important milestone in the mission of this project to drive sustainable innovation in this field.

BayFOR and BayFIA at the 12th Long Night of Science 2025
On Saturday 25 October 2025, the 12th Long Night of Science will open its doors from 5 p.m. to midnight, once again transforming Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen into a huge stage for science, research and innovation. Visitors will be able to gain exciting insights into current research projects at over 130 venues.
The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will also have its own stand. Here, interested individuals will have the opportunity to learn about the research and innovation projects of BayFIA partners (including BayFOR), as well as current developments in the fields of the environment, robotics, health, energy and materials research.
