It funds projects in which academia, industry, public authorities and society work together to develop innovative bio-based solutions, strengthen regional value chains and accelerate the transition towards a circular bioeconomy.
- Strengthening forest research for the support of Ukraine (HORIZON-CL6-2027-01-CIRCBIO-10) – €6M per project
This call supports research and innovation projects contributing to the recovery and sustainable development of Ukraine's forestry sector. It focuses on international research cooperation, innovative approaches to sustainable forest management and strengthening scientific and institutional capacities to enhance the long-term resilience of Ukrainian forests.
- Demonstration of solid biofuel supply and conversion to high-efficiency CHP from fully sustainable regional value chains (HORIZON-CL5-2026-11-D3-05) – €6.75M per project
This call supports demonstration projects for sustainable regional value chains based on solid biofuels. The focus is on innovative bioenergy solutions that efficiently convert biogenic residues into heat and electricity, thereby contributing to a climate-friendly, resource-efficient and secure energy supply.
