Virtuelles Forschungscafé – Wissenschaftlicher Austausch in der Post-Pandemie

On 23 November, the WKS team will be pleased to welcome Professor William Roberto Wolf, Head of the Laboratory of Aeronautical
Sciences in the School of Mechanical Engineering of University of Campinas in the State of São Paulo. He is a member of the RLS-
Sciences Global Aerospace Campus Group. Professor Wolf will present his research on application of supercomputers in the aeronautical industry, with a focus on turbulence and aeroacoustics.

Innovation Days 2023: Sustainability and Space

From 22 to 23 November 2023 the conference "Innovation Days 2023: Sustainability and Space" will take place in the Free State of Bavaria's representative office in the Czech Republic in Prague. The conference is a joint event of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Prague, the Liaison Office of the Free State of Saxony in Prague and the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria in the Czech Republic and is organised in cooperation with the EU Agency for the Space Programme and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic. The aim of the conference is to draw conclusions about sustainability on Earth from space research. BayFOR will provide information about EU funding opportunities in this area in a presentation on-site.

Excellence Lab: Funding Opportunities in ERASMUS+ Key Action 2 for Capacity Building in the African and European Higher Education System

On 16 November 2023, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will host an online workshop titled "Excellence Lab: Funding Opportunities in ERASMUS+ Key Action 2 for Capacity Building in the African and European Higher Education System". The workshop welcomes professionals employed in Bavarian and African higher education and research institutions, who are interested or experienced in developing and expanding international cooperation projects within the higher education sector.

EU Brokerage Event on KETs in Horizon Europe 2024

On 27 October 2023 the German and French National Contact Points (NCPs) for the industrial part of Cluster 4 and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) of IMG Rheinland-Pfalz in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network and Grand E-Nov+ co-organise the 10th edition of EU Brokerage Event on Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) in Horizon Europe. BayFOR supports this event as a co-organisor.

Bavaria-Israel Workshop Series: How to build a HEU-proposal in the field of Democracy, Cultural Heritage, Transformation

On October 26 and November 6, 2023, the Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) and the „Israel-Europe R&I Directorate“ (ISERD) invite to a workshop series "How to build a HEU-proposal in the fields of Democracy, Cultural Heritage, Transformation" in the context of the 11th Bavarian-Israeli Think-Tank on the application process for calls from the current European Research Framework Program "Horizon Europe". On 18 and 19 October 2023, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will host the workshop "Excellence Lab: Horizon Europe funding opportunities and matchmaking for green research and innovation cooperation between Africa, Europe and Bavaria". The event is aimed at researchers, start-ups, NGOs, companies and public institutions from Bavaria, Europe and Africa who are looking for partners to apply for two European funding opportunities for research and innovation. The event offers an ideal platform to get to know potential international project partners with a focus on agroforestry and food trade policy and to exchange concrete project ideas.
