Lignoflag synergy workshop on European funding - European Structural and Investment Funds synergies and additional funding opportunities
The EU-funded project LIGNOFLAG - “Commercial flagship plant for bioethanol production involving a bio-based value chain built on lignocellulosic feedstock” - is supporting the EU’s objectives of decarbonizing the transport sector. In the first-of-its-kind commercial-scale flagship plant in Podari in the southwestern part of Romania, LIGNOFLAG project partner Clariant’s innovative sunliquid® technology is producing cellulosic ethanol and truly sustainable biofuel, which is almost carbon neutral.

Conference “Science for Impact in Africa: Bridging the Gap between Academia and Societal Needs in Agri-Food Systems”
On May 15, 2023, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences will host the conference " Science for Impact in Africa: Bridging the Gap between Academia and Societal Needs in Agri-Food Systems". The event provides an ideal platform for agri-food value chain stakeholders from the EU and Africa to meet potential international project partners, discuss challenges and exchange on project ideas and funding opportunities.

11th „Technologietransfer-Kongress“ 2023 in Augsburg
On 11 May 2023, the now eleventh „Technologietransfer-Kongress“ of the TransferEinrichtungen Augsburg (TEA) network will take place in Augsburg. The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will take part in the event and present the BayFIA partner organisations and their services. BayFOR is also participating and advising visitors on European funding for research and innovation.

EDIH Twister Vol. I
The Bavarian-Czech event of the CyberSecurity Hub and the CzechInno Association on 11 May in Ceské Budejovice (Czech Republic) is intended as an information and networking event. It focuses on the new services offered by the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) to support the digital transformation of companies. BayFOR is taking part in the event as a partner organisation in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and will give a presentation on how it successfully supported a Bavarian EDIH with its EU funding application.

In times of COVID19, scientific networking trips were hardly feasible. The Scientific Coordination Office - WKS Bavaria-Québec/Alberta/International BayFOR has therefore launched a new platform, the virtual "Forschungscafé", in order to maintain dialogue on current topics related to research cooperation between these regions.

On 22 and 23 March 2023, the Bavarian University Centre for Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe (BAYHOST), the Bavarian-Czech University Agency (BTHA) and the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) invite you to the workshop "MSCA Doctoral Networks and Twinning: Advanced Materials & Processes and Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability" in Regensburg. The workshop serves to initiate consortia and proposals in the European funding programmes "Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: Doctoral Networks" and "Twinning".

Information & Matchmaking Event: EU Calls for Proposals 2023 on Battery and Hydrogen Technologies
On 14 February 2023, the Bavarian Research Alliance, as a partner in the Enterprise Europe Network cordially invites interested applicants from science and industry to participate in the online information & matchmaking event on the newly published EU calls for proposals on battery and hydrogen technologies in Horizon Europe and other European funding programmes. Experts from the thematically responsible National Contact Points (NCP DIT, PT Jülich, NCP KEM) will present the calls during the event.
