Workshop: ‘Co-Creating European Innovation’

On 9 July 2025, the Strascheg Centre for Entrepreneurship (SCE) and the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) are hosting an interactive EU innovation workshop. The workshop will focus on the SYSTEMEU project, which is funded by Horizon Europe and aims to transform the European innovation landscape by providing systemic, digital and sustainable solutions. As an associated partner of SYSTEMEU: Interconnected Ecosystems, BayFOR will present practical ways in which start-ups and SMEs can successfully obtain funding from Brussels. BayFOR's managing director, Martin Reichel, will open the event with the keynote speech 'The impact of transregional cooperation and the importance of joint projects in implementing the European innovation strategy and the Smart Specialisation Strategy'.

BayFOR at IFAT Africa 2025

IFAT Africa 2025 will take place in Johannesburg from 8 to 10 July 2025. This leading environmental trade fair is one of the most important industry gatherings for water, wastewater, waste and raw materials management in sub-Saharan Africa. More than 100 German companies will be represented under the umbrella brand ‘made in Germany’ in the ‘German Pavilion’. BayFOR will accompany the Bavarian delegation from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, led by State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt.

From 5 to 12 July 2025, international experts will meet in Thessaloniki (Greece) for Nanotexnology, Europe's leading trade fair and conference for nanotechnology, organic electronics, nanomedicine, 3D printing and AI-supported manufacturing. BayFOR will also be there again, presenting its portfolio of services and three EU projects it supports and in which it is a project partner.

From 1 - 2 July, the networking event ‘BayOConnect 2025 - Forum for Biotech & LifeScience’ will take place in Munich, organised by BioM, the development and management organisation of the Munich Biotechnology Cluster. The aim is to drive progress in biotechnology. The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will be on site to provide information about its comprehensive range of services and advice on research and innovation funding, technology transfer, patents and licences.
