Nanotexnology Expo 2023
NANOTEXNOLOGY EXPO 2023 will take place from 1 July to 8 July 2023 and is the largest marketplace for applications, products and research in nanotechnology, nanomaterials, organic electronics, 3D printing/bioprinting and nanomedicine in Europe, as well as one of the leading networking areas worldwide with more than 60 countries represented. At its stand, BayFOR will be presenting four EU projects in which it is a project partner.

BayFOR on Energy Business Trip about "Storage Solutions for Renewable Energies and Charging Infrastructure for E-Mobility" in Greece
From 26 to 29 June 2023, an energy business trip and conference on "Storage Solutions for Renewable Energies and Charging Infrastructure for E-Mobility" will take place on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour (BMWK) and the German-Greek Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will be present on 28 June to inform about EU funding programmes for battery and hydrogen projects.

BayFOR at the Bavarian Green Technologies Congress For The Americas
From 20 to 23 June 2023, the "Bavarian Green Technologies Congress For The Americas" will take place online, organised by the Bavarian missions abroad in North and Latin America with the support of Bayern International and the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will present innovative projects in the field of sustainability and energy transition in a breakout session.

BayFOR at the first AU-EU Innovation Festival in Cape Town, South Africa
On Thursday 15 June 2023, the first AU-EU Innovation Festival will take place in South Africa. The event is organized by the African Union, the European Union and the Republic of South Africa. The Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Africa will be present with an exhibition stand and will provide information on the services of BayFOR for EU funding of research and innovation cooperation between African and Bavarian universities, research institutions and SMEs.

As part of the Bavarian Start-Up Days 2023, Kempten University of Applied Sciences is offering an event on 24 May 2023 on the topic of “Green Minds Unite: Talks on Circular Economy” with speakers from the StartUp Center Kempten network and the partner university of St. Paul’s University in Kenya.

BayFIA at MedtecLIVE with T4M 2023
MedtecLIVE with T4M (Technology for Medical Devices) will be held at Messe Nürnberg from 23-25 May 2023. The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will present itself at the Bavarian joint stand of Bayern Innovativ. BayFOR is also represented here and provides advice on EU funding for research and innovation in the field of medical technology.

UAS4EUROPE Networking Conference 2023 - "Halfway to the Horizon: Universities of Applied Sciences on the right track?"
UAS4Europe cordially invites you to the Networking Conference 2023 in Brussels on 22 & 23 May! The conference serves as a platform for exchange and discussion on the opportunities and challenges of Horizon Europe. How do Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) contribute to the objectives of Horizon Europe? What are the challenges and opportunities? How can the experiences of UAS contribute to improving European R&I funding? Through this conference, UAS4EUROPE aims to gather a broad range of expertise that will be captured in a mid-term review of Horizon Europe. This should give EU policy makers new impetus in the further optimal design of Horizon Europe.

Lignoflag synergy workshop on European funding - European Structural and Investment Funds synergies and additional funding opportunities
The EU-funded project LIGNOFLAG - “Commercial flagship plant for bioethanol production involving a bio-based value chain built on lignocellulosic feedstock” - is supporting the EU’s objectives of decarbonizing the transport sector. In the first-of-its-kind commercial-scale flagship plant in Podari in the southwestern part of Romania, LIGNOFLAG project partner Clariant’s innovative sunliquid® technology is producing cellulosic ethanol and truly sustainable biofuel, which is almost carbon neutral.

On May 15, 2023, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences will host the conference " Science for Impact in Africa: Bridging the Gap between Academia and Societal Needs in Agri-Food Systems". The event provides an ideal platform for agri-food value chain stakeholders from the EU and Africa to meet potential international project partners, discuss challenges and exchange on project ideas and funding opportunities.

11th „Technologietransfer-Kongress“ 2023 in Augsburg
On 11 May 2023, the now eleventh „Technologietransfer-Kongress“ of the TransferEinrichtungen Augsburg (TEA) network will take place in Augsburg. The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will take part in the event and present the BayFIA partner organisations and their services. BayFOR is also participating and advising visitors on European funding for research and innovation.
